Jakub Sawicki, Michael Lewis, Maria Vargha"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The papers in this second volume of <em>MERC Papers<\/em> began as presentations at the 3rd MERC Postgraduate and Early Career Conference in Medieval Archaeology, held in Wroc\u0142aw in 2024. Most come from researchers at the start of their careers, some from more established colleagues. All have been revised and expanded since the conference, and all have gone through single-blind peer review.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That last point matters to us, and so does the way the volume came about. It exists because MERC members wrote, read, reviewed and edited for one another.
