The book is the third supplement to the archaeological collection of the Prague City Museum ARCHAEOLOGICA PRAGENSIA. It reflects the state of current archaeological research in Prague – one of the unique archaeological sites in Europe.
Aimed at a broader audience, the book is based exclusively on Prague archaeological sources and focuses primarily on issues of research methods, opportunities for interdisciplinary cooperation and problems of archaeological conservation in general. It thus presents a completely new and largely unknown picture of archaeological work and the processes that take place behind the scenes of archaeological sites, in parallel and often months or even years after the fieldwork of individual excavations has been completed.
